Stop being a vendor

Importantly, the way they get there is to ensure all of their customer-facing functions embrace the discipline of being a problem-solver and solution-seller instead of as a vendor.Industry leaders don't push solutions at their customers and walk away. Instead, they develop programs to partner with their customers in the process of continuous problem solving.
